When did you start to play soccer and why?
I started to play soccer for my first club (Loganholme Lorikeets) around the age of 8 years old, I was always playing in the backyard of my best friends house next door (Craig and Shane Barnes) and one day they asked me to play for their team and after my friend's mother convinced my mother soccer was not a dangerous sport I signed up and had my first season but as a STRIKER !!!!

What is the best league to play in?
All the European premier leagues are good. Italy, Spain, England but I am working towards getting into the English Premier League. I believe that the standard is so high that it brings out the best in players and I would love to be a part of it.

Who is your favourite player?
My favourite player would have to be Christiano Ronaldo because he is always trying new moves and its great to watch, but I believe the best goalkeeper is Peter Schmiechel.

What do you do when you dont play soccer?
I would love to go to the beach and surf every day but being in Europe its impossible to do that so instead I go to restuarants, cafes and chill out with friends in the team. I also love my Playstation so I often have a round of golf in the Tiger Woods golf tournament !!

Are you going to stay at Standard Liege next year?
I'm not sure at the moment as I am off contract so I'll have to weigh up my options and see what clubs are interested in me at the time, but Standard Liege is a very good club and if I stayed I would be happy for now.

Do you miss your family and friends in australia?
Of course I do !! You can tell by the size of my mobile phone bill ! I always stay in contact with my family and I am constantly calling my best friends ( DUECE, CALLIOPE, BARNSEY, SHARYN .........) But its just a sacrifice you have to make if you want to play football.

Who is your hero?
I have three people that I look up to first of all is my parents as I know I could never achieved what I have without their continual support, secondly my best friend Craig Barnes who died of cancer in 2002. He was an incredible person who never gave up and he was stronger than I could ever hope to be. He taught me many things, when I'm going through a tough time now I remember what he was like and it helps me get through it. It was an honour to be his best friend.

What is your favourite football experience?
Definitely it would have to be the first time I played for my country in my first World Youth Cup in Nigeria 1999, but also playing in front of 40,000 people in Sydney at the Olympic Games 2000.
